went to the Frightnight film fest/Fandom con @ fern valley convention center this past weekend. saw many stars of the movies from my childhood, saw lots of horror stuffs, and movies, and met some interesting ppl. i even got a parody "subway" shirt. it rocked. im going back next year!!

Saturday, July 16th, 2011 - Old Music Appriciation....
Hey all.
i know, i know, its been a few days. i havent had much to write about until now. sorry for making you wait..lol
recently, i had a revelation. i know, ive said it a few times before, to alot of my friends, but it hit kinda hard the other night....People Learn to appiciate older music, the older they get. Seriously. its the strangest thing to me.
i work at one of those $5 dollar footlong places...you know the ones.., and our radio station is almost always on the classic rock, or light listening station. when i come to work, i almost always change the station to classic rock, being that im a rock fan. im a lover of all things musical. i love rock, hard rock, rap, classical, some jazz, and plenty of other genres. when im at home, i usually listen to groups like Adelita's Way, Default, Saliva, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, and various other ppl, depending on my mood. When i was a kid, my mom cleaned house to 60's pop music. at the time, i didnt really like the older stuff. i was interested in the new music always comming out.
but, here recently, ive found my self constantly finding a new found appriciation for the older music i been listening to at work on the radio. granted, i still listen to my current bands and freshly released music, but the older, classic rock suddenly keep expanding a place in my heart. seems lately, that its not a good day until i hear Aerosmith, Bad Company, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and the like. Even the soft rock station has a soft spot in my heart too. Fleetwood Mac, and even some (NOT ALL, mind you..) ABBA. yes, i said it...ABBA. what the hell is wrong with me???
more and more the new music scene, to me, all sounds alike. its starting to become rare that i find a new group i like. only one ive found lately that i like alot, is Fitz and the Tantrums, and thats because they carry a pop/soul sound really not heard since the 60's, and they mix it with a little upbeat sound. very nice. first new group ive listened to in along time. but then again, due to the current sound, ive been listening to alot more classic stuff too. see a pattern here? give me the original sounds i love, not some half produced, similar sounding, cookie cutter sound that people are starting to look past, while searching for that "new music" sound. i can name a huge handful of groups out now, that, to me, sound like someone shit in a tuba, and tried to market it as "good music". bitch, please...!
so there it is. and seriously, i cant believe i mentioned ABBA. damn....i am getting fucking old!

Wednesday, July 6th, 2011 - "For Caylee....."
Hey all.
Now, i usually keep my nose outta murder trials and such, but this particular one has to be talked about, bitched about, and otherwise touched upon. The Murder of Caylee Anthony, and the Trial of her mother, Casey Anthony. I personally think this little girl didnt get her full chance in life, and her mother got away with one of the most horrendous crimes imaginable. I dont know anyone in my huge circle of friends who would even comtemplate murdering their own children, for any reason...
i have no idea why mrs. anthony murdered her beautiful little girl, and im sure that i personally never will. She will have to live with that for the rest of her life, and it wont be easy. there will be reminders everywhere, and anywhere she ends up, even in prison. What honestly posesses anyone to do such a thing is beyond me. a bunch of my friends have small children, and they love them like no other. it pains me that another child has become a victim of severely bad parenting.
when i was growing up, i thought my parents were horrible, ill admit it. they were tough, stern, sometimes unfair in my opinion, but always doing their best to raise me and help me become a decent human being. Never did i have to worry about them beating me, abusing me, or anything else. granted, my family wasnt the richest, or most popular, but i never, truely, had to worry about anything but being a kid, and the pains of growing up. and i thank them for it everyday, by trying to do my best with all that i do. Nowdays, its getting harder for kids to just be kids, and the parents are becomming more and more abusive, and crazy. child murders are slowly becoming a every few months/years thing...and its not right at all....
caylee, my child, trust me when i say i hope your in a way better place than this earth. Your mother will pay for your death for the rest of her life, while you get the joy of eternal life, and true freedom, wherever you may have ended up. i hope the human race can learn one thing from you death, and the deaths of all the other children, unnoticed by the media. the lesson, being...
CHERISH THE CHILDREN, FOR THEY ARE OUR FUTURE.....

Friday, July 1st, 2011 - American Pie and Such.....
Hey all. Happy Patriot weekend to you all. i hope the lot of you have a great weekend, filled with fireworks, and booze, and grilled food, and possibly titties!!! Goddess Bless America!!! if it wasnt to this great country of ours, i think id be in jail right now..!
first and foremost, i want to personally thank all the soldiers, from all 5 armed forces (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard) for my freedom. without them, i wouldnt be able to sleep in, watch cartoons, or porn, have a hot girlfriend, listen to rock music, be able to curse, have a awesome life, and be able to write this blog, amongtst other freedoms. these awesomely brave men and women risk their lives every day, without much though about it, to protect this great, free, beautiful country of ours. i thank you all for everything you do, and during the next 4 or so days, every armed force personnel i come across, i will shake hands with.
this patriotic feeling also extends to the police, ems, and firemen and women across this country as well. these extraordinary people never fully get the true credit and thanks they also deserve. these services, and these people are always there when any of us need them and most of the time, they never get any thanks for what they do. so, again, Thank You for all the things you do, that make life possible for all of us out here!!
and to all of you who tend to put down our brave men and women, from all the above, because you dont know how good you got it, because you, and your church group have a grudge with the world, because you think the army, the police, or anyone else is part of a conspiriacy against you....FUCK YOU! i am personally sick and tired of hearing, month after month, from various outlets, that there are people out there who have nothing better to do than to run down, and put down, our armed forces/homeland resources. Honestly, you assclowns, think about it...its these same people you protesting against, that give you the freedoms to protest in general. have some fuckin balls, and thank them, dont put them down. this especially goes for Wesboro Baptist Church. Hey, believe what ya want.! you think the deaths overseas is due to god being pissed about gays? FINE! but keep that stupid shit to yourself. keep it within the walls of your establishment. none of us wanna hear that petty bullshit. and furthermore, if y ou bastads EVER come back to kentucky, and if you EVER come to Louisville, I will be one of the people on the front lines, defending this city against your bullshit. Remember, kids, your old pal hobbit is a card carrying, proud member, of TEAM: Bring IT!
thats all i gotta say right now. i hope everyone has a great holiday weekend. and if you do, thank a soldier, or a member of your local homeland resources. And bring me some grill out foood!!!
